Great buy! I\'ve had this rifle for awhile now, and have no complaints of the rifle itself. The 2-stage trigger has been the smoothest pull I have ever used. I\'m actually about ready to buy a 300 WIN MAG version. My two complaints have nothing to do with the rifle. I would recommend just getting the rifle instead of the package. The scope that comes with this, is worthless. I would lose my zero after the 4th shot every time. In addition the package came with the wrong mount scopes. It was a huge hassle running around trying to get the right mounts, and zeroing it. I would have rather just bought the rifle, and the magazine conversion (which is what I\'m doing with the 300 WIN MAG).

Overall I'm very happy! The rifle is awesome. Bolt is super smooth. The scope is very nice! Bipod is decent. I like the 10rd mag. The scope base seems to hold up well. The scope rings we not the best. Comes with a 100mm sunshade. Flip up scope caps are cheap but work. The heavy barrel is awesome. Take up to 10 shots without loosing accuracy. The houge stock is nice. Gun is a little heavy but in the prone position with the bipod deployed that's not a factor! Gun loves match 168gr hpbt. @100 yards with 3 shots Ill shoot .5-.6 moa! Buy this rifle!!!

Love the rifle, trigger is light. The glass is clear, could use a little more eye relief. 2nd time out shot from a table with sand bags and consistently had .5 inch groups at a 100 yds. Couldn't be happier. It'd be nice if the magazines where a little cheaper.

I am giving this package 5 stars because it is a 5 star deal. The rifle deserves 4 stars alone but you really cannot beat this deal. I was super impressed with the scope that comes with this package. I dont think I would pay $375 for it by itself but consider your basically getting it for less than $200 in this package deal and it is above and beyond that price point. The glass is super clear, the mounts are sturdy and the turrets have very positive clicks and adjustments. The lens caps that come with it are cheap and the bipod is cheap but they do the job. The extended magazine is not the best, but again it gets the job done. The trigger on this rifle is very nice for a factory trigger and very consistent in the 40 rounds I shot today. For me it shot MOA at 100 yards right out of the box using Federal XM80C ammo which is basically Mil Spec Ammo. The overall weight of the rifle is great for carrying around and the stock is decent again for the price. I would really like my cheek weld to be higher so I will probably add a cheek riser soon. This is a very good, but not great rifle but you absolutely cannot beat the price of this package. Out of the box I think it is better than a Remington 700 for sure although the Remington has a better aftermarket. I have definitely owned nicer rifles but they were all $1000 without optics and they probably only shot a little better than this one. If your looking for an entry level rifle to get into long range shooting or hunting this will give you the best bang for your buck for certain.

What an awesome deal. My HOWA M1500 arrived within a few days of my order. The rifle was transferred successfully with no problems to my designated and Bud's approved FFL. I was contacted the day he received the rifle and I picked it up that night. The rifle is of the highest quality, the package came complete with the Nikko Stirling TargetMaster tactical scope and bipod. The service from Bud's Gun Shop was unbelievably perfect.

Very nice gun, this Howa is an awesome gun great quality and has a super sweet trigger. I have not yet shot but I can't wait. Also great service again from buds and super fast shipping. Also you do have to put gun together but it seriously took me like 25 min and it was all set. Just buy one well worth the money....

A wonderful package for the $$$. As usual, prompt and reliable service from Bud's. Rifle has soft, grippy feel, well-balanced without the extra 4" on the barrel. Have generally found the 6 to 9 range inadequate for a bipod length, and undecided whether I want to employ the optional ten-round magazine option, though it may be useful for field loading I the dark. A solid bargain, when you compare to similar .308's...

Very pleased!!! This rifle is really nice. The action is super smooth. I was expecting it to be really stiff like the Remington 700 I'm familiar with, but the action on this was so much smoother. The metal work is as expected, but still decent quality. The scope is pretty darn good. The Hogue stock is fantastic. Overall, I am really impressed. The shipping from Buds was standard. I received it to my FFL about 13 days after I ordered it online. I know they must be busy as I didn't get a status update until it was at my FFL. The only problem so far is that one of the scope covers is cracked. I'm trying to get that taken care of, no luck yet.

Definitely a must buy for a nice .308 without having to pay an arm and a leg. All the accessories are really nice.

This is a very good rifle at a great price considering all the accessories that are included. The rubberized Hogue stock is good, the feel does have a "rubber" like quality to it. The rifle does come as a kit, you must mount the scope, tripod and 10 round mag. The good thing is that the rifle comes with the factory metal trigger guard/4+1 internal magazine. So you do have an option of keeping the factory 4+1 mag or installing the 10 round kit. Another buyer commented on the "plastic" 10 round magazinge/trigger guard. All I can say is that it is polycarbonate, not plastic. We all know how strong polycarbonate is, tough as steel. The Nikko scope is very clear, holds zero well, the mil dot is set for 16x which is a little odd. My otherscope are true mil at 10x or 14x power. I have only shot about 25 rounds but the first 20 were per Legacy/Howa break in instructions. Finish on the gun is very good, no marks or visable imperfections. The one piece bolt is solid, has a great fit, no slop at all. I am not sure at what weight the HACT trigger is set at. Mine is very light, maybe 2Lbs or so. I would not want it set any lighter. Has no creep and breaks very clean. It doesn't say on the website but the included rifle is a model 1500, same rifle as a Weatherby from what I understand.
Overall, this is really a great offering from Bud's.. I can only comment on my initial break-in test ( of 20 rds.) plus an additional 5 rounds but the gun is very accurate so far. Can't wait to throw some more lead down range and really test its long range potential.
