I bought this rifle a year ago and have probably 1000 or more rounds through it now. I find it to be just as dependable as a Ruger 10/22. If you keep it clean it will function great, but let it get dirty and the old case will not always clear the bolt before it closes. Accuracy is superb. One half inch 5 shot groups at 50 yds. are the norm, with either Hornady or CCI ammo. For me the light weight is great, I can pick it up off the seat of my pickup and point it out the window with one hand. Without the barrel weight you do have to concentrate a bit more when squeezing off your shots, this probablly wouldn't be an issue if the trigger were more refined. It's not any worse then any other factory trigger, it just needs some work. Overall I like this gun so much I plan on buying another in 17HMR as soon as Buds gets one in stock.

I almost didn't buy this rifle based on the other review but I went ahead and did after reading some good things on rimfire central forums. I'm glad i did. The rifle is very well made with a beautiful receiver and an action that is smother than my ultimate 10/22. At 4.6 pounds it feels like your holding a toy ... until you shoot it. I just received it so I have only 100 rounds through it without one malfunction (Eley ammo). It goes boom everytime i pull the trigger. The magazine and trigger assembly are Ruger parts so you could drop in a KIDD trigger group or Volquartsen. I didn't give it a 5 because of the Houge stock. While it's not a terrible stock and does help with the weight I think for the price it should have somthing with more class.

Disappointing...I have tried this rifle with three different brands of ammo and have experienced timing and pressure problems. Functioning is 50:50 and the rifle appears to unlock early as the case heads are domed on every single round. It will probably be going back to Magnum Research for warranty work.
