This Puma is smother than my winchester 30-30 lever action. Good fit on parts and wood stock. Great gun.

I needed a lever action in 45LC for cowboy action shooting. There are several really nice lever-actions out there, BUT they cost a barrel full of money. So when I came across this one, I was very interested. I checked it out at a local shop and was impressed with the quality of the wood and workmanship, although the action wasn't as smooth as the higher price brands, it was acceptable. So I bought the Carbine model in 45 long colt (same as my pistols; ergo only one type of ammo for both). After taking it to the range to test fire it, I was knocked out by how well it shot on point of aim at 25 and 50 yards! It was dead-on! Running a box or two of ammo thru it, the action started to wear-in and freed up nicely. At the first match I took it to, many of the other shooters wanted to have a look at it, and it got very favorable remarks; especially when asked the price. They couldn't believe it. Since then, several other guys have bought one and use it at the monthly shoots. No feed problems, well balanced, comfortable feel, easy to mount. All around a great gun at a great price. Additionally, there are a several websites that detail how to hop it up for competition, and it fits perfectly in my saddle scabard. Try one, you'll like it!
