This is a great budget rifle to shoot the ammo we have stockpiled. This rifle is allot of fun chambered in .223 Remington.

Overall fit and finish is good for a gun in this price point. The scope is fine for general use and the box magazine is steel and well made. I would recommend this rifle to the general sport shooter and hunter alike. From the initial assessment and a few shots ; there is no reason why this rifle couldn't be a minute gun with the right optic and good ammunition. Bud's as always is super fast and great on the price.

Hi my name is Nelson I live in Puerto Rico and even though is a commonwealth and most purchase are difficult. I ordered a Remington model 783 chambered .223 and I received it without any scratch and as was advertised. The only problem but this is me it doesn't come with a magazine with more ammo capacity. Just 5 round that's the factory I guess because Remington page didn't have neither. Other than that buying from budsgun was great business. Thank you Bud

This rifle is just as accurate, and as well designed and made as my original Remington model 788. The free scope has no brand name, it just says "China". It was OK until I learned what a good rifle I had, when I bought a Leupold for it. Enough said.

Wow! I was surprised how nice it looks, shots like a dream too! I really like this rifle, shot 600 rounds so far no issues what so ever, very tight grouping at 300 yards, the bolt is buttery smooth, the trigger feels nice and very light, stock has a solid feel I tried bending it and it wouldn't bend, not like the flimsy Axis stocks, by far the best bolt action rifle I own and will be buying another one in 308 soon.

Buds was great easy to deal with. Gun shoots great but scope is junk. Bolts on scope rings were loose but scope needs to be replaced anyway. Let's say this scope is ok for hunting with use to 100 yds but not long range. Haven't shot gun with new scope yet but it was 1 1/2 " at 100 yds with scope the came with it and it was loose. Don't know why I didn't check it before shooting the rifle but oh well.

Ordered this rifle on Monday afternoon and picked it up Thursday afternoon. Wow, what else can I say about Buds .The rifle comes in a Remington factory cardboard box with lock, owners manual , hex key, and cleaning cloth for the pre.- mounted scope. After a quick inspection at Sure Shot Gun Shop, Clinton Iowa's best gun shop, it was off to the range. I shot Armscor 55 Gr. FMJ at 50 yards and I was shooting 3" groups. The bolt is smooth and locks up tight. The scope is cheap but worked just fine and after a few adjustments, on a better day winds blowing 30 , it should work well. If you want a low cost bolt action, mine in .223, you should consider this Remington 783. another great rifle from Remington. Live free and shoot often. .
