FN SPR (Special Police Rifles) are based on the legendary Pre-'64 Model 70-style action with a massive external claw extractor for Controlled Round Feed (CRF), blade ejection, the original two-lever trigger and a three-position safety. FN's SPR A1 is chambered in 308 Winchester with a short magnum action length. The SPR A1 has a 24" cold hammer-forged MIL-SPEC chrome-lined barrel with a chrome-lined bore. It features a forged steel receiver and integral recoil lug, and is held to a +/- .001" headspace to produce and maintain one minute-of-angle (1 MOA) accuracy, making it ideal for long-range target shooting and tactical competition. It has a one-piece steel MIL-STD 1913 optical rail with an additional 20 MOA of elevation built in and oversize 8-40 mounting screws. Its matte black McMillan fiberglass stock has a close-radius upright grip, textured gripping surfaces and three sling mounting points.
