Standard Mfg AR-15 Model B Left-hand 5.56/223 - 30 Rounds

A good rifle, given the ridiculously few choices for left hand shooters in the AR platform. Had it shipped to Windam Weapons as an FFL. The guys in the shop looked it over and said it was decent. Great service from Buds, and shipped quickly. Price did seem a bit high, as it was cheaper on other sites.

Great gun with great service - I bumped it down one notch because, like all left handed versions for some reason, it comes with a right handed charging handle and no ambidextrous mag release. I think those are two of the things that make it left handed to me. As always great service from Buds though

I am ultimately satisfied with this purchase. Other than the magazine release, everything is swapped for lefty use. Ambidextrous safety is a plus too. I put 250 rounds through it at the range and had a very tight grouping. The sights weren't centered exactly, but I'm not planning on adjusting them as I'm getting new optics soon.

This is my first AR (and only my second firearm), so I can't really comment on the quality, other than to say it seems to be well built. I've only put 60 rounds through it so far, and I wanted to comment on the left-handedness of this rifle. The only things that are different from a standard right-handed AR, are that the bolt opening and forward assist are on the left side, and the safety is ambidextrous. The bolt catch/release is still on the left, and the magazine release is on the right. It would have been nice to have the magazine release on the left, but after seeing how it functions, I understand why they didn't change it. It would have required special left-hand magazines, or a complete redesign of the release mechanism. That being said, I found it was not too difficult to reach back with my right hand, grab the magazine, and hit the release with my right thumb. As for the bolt catch/release, I can easily operate it with my left index finger without moving my hand from the grip. This part of the rifle seems already designed for a lefty, and I'm left wondering how right handers operate this function. My rifle came with a front pistol style grip. It wasn't preinstalled, but when I saw it I thought "why not?" and had it installed in less than five minutes. It feels pretty natural to hold it that way, so I'll leave it on for now. The magazine that came with it seems to be a bit lower quality than the others I bought for it (Magpul Gen3s), but I haven't had any issues with it yet. Overall, I'd have to say I'm happy with my purchase so far.
