I bought this rifle to be my go to elk rifle and it has not disappointed. I have taken two bills with it in Colorado. I had the barrel threaded for a silencerco omega suppressor and took a bull from 600 yards with Hornady Precision Hunter 200 grain bullets. I have a leupold vx-6 3-18-44 mounted on it currently. I guide hunts in west Texas and it has also performed nicely on whitetail deer. The recoil is minimal due to the weight and good recoil pad. It is a little long with the suppressor and heavy for mountain hunting if you are a smaller individual or worried about a few extra ounces but it’s served me well in stalking applications as well as sitting in a stand. My go to rifle for big hunts.
