I am looking at purchasing, I am seeing 2 models listed what is the difference in this one and model#16948 there is a slight price difference?

the 16948 is the older out of production mode with a Ruger rotary magazine the 26948 is the current production gun with a common AI style magazine I recommend getting the 26948 for the lower magazine cost and easier to get magazines

Tanner, the difference is in the type of magazine used. The above model uses a Polymer AI style magazine and model 16948 uses a Flush rotary magazine.

Yep, I should've listened to the previous reviewer. Not worth all the trouble of getting a magazine to function properly. I bought 5 magazines before getting one to work. I got the original ,3 shot magazine to finally work with some sanding to the lips. Next best was a Magpul P-mag 549 5 shot magazine. I have not had a chance to shoot this on my range yet. I should've just been content with my Remington model 788 chambered in ,243 win. Glad I didn't trade it. I would have been sick. I would suggest a Howa1500 , if you want the 6mm creedmoor at a reasonable price.

Shoots like a tack; doesn’t feed worth a shit. If you like single shot rifles, then this is a great bang for your buck. However, if you’d like to rechamber a round without sticking your fingers in front of the bolt to lift the round into the throat of the gun, then buy something else. Ruger dropped the ball and didn’t design their mags to work with the 6mm round.
