This rifle is really nice with a suppressor!

Fun, fun, fun. You need to buy this gun. I threw a cheap scope on it, it's my truck gun. Let a guy put his suppressor on it the other day, quiet. Now going to load some subsonic rounds, try that again.

Excellent rifle. Nice fit and finish, smooth action, and balanced weight. Great handling firearm for hunting w/wo suppressor. I'm using a low power scope set in lo-pro rings. Accuracy has been excellent using 150gr Winchester Deer XP ammo. Have also target shot with 220gr subsonics and had great accuracy as well.

Purchased for farm use on any critter than could harm cattle or crops. If I needed a hunting rifle this also would be my first choice due to being very accurate and easy to carry. I added a weather proof scope, sling and Velcro ammo carrier to stock. The Velcro ammo carrier also makes a good cheek riser for me. I've had excellent results with 110 GR HORNADY at 300 Yards. I tried REMINGTON 220 GR. subsonic with not so good results. (only 2 I've tried) RUGER has done excellent job on this rifle no flaws at all. I would recommend it and BUDS.

Very nice "handy" rifle for running around on the farm. Short action, compact length, easily fits in truck. So far, it is well built, like the Ruger American Rimfire I have. Integral power bedding, free floating barrel, easy box magazine, removable threaded end for attachments. Good for 100 yard shots at fox, other vermin. Makes some noise due to supersonic ammo, but not overly loud like a 308 or even a 223. Have not tried any subsonic ammunition so I have no story to tell there. It seems to like Barnes Vor-TX 110 grain ammo the best. Very light and easy to use. I consider this a win for Ruger and for me.

Just took my new Ruger ranch rifle in 300 blackout to the range for the first time this weekend. Put about 100 rounds of both Remington supersonic and subsonic rounds through it. Used the Nikon P-300 scope designed for this round. It fed and ejected just fine so long as you did it fast and not slow. Accuracy was excellent. Fit and finish were better than expected. The rifle is pleasingly light weight as I'm not a large person. The bolt worked quite well. Above expectations anyway for a sub-$400 rifle. The only downside was the five round rotary magazines. They were a little finicky. The more I used them the better they seem to feed. There appear to be three generations of this magazine denoted by the marking at the front of the feed lip: 1st gen=no symbol; 2nd gen=minus symbol; 3rd gen= plus symbol. This rifle came with one 2nd gen mag and it certainly fed better than the two 1st gen I had bought separately. Of note, the 300 blackout magazines are the same as the .223 mags according to Ruger, which makes sense. On the whole, I really like this rifle and would recommend it.
