I own a few handguns and finally decided it was time to get a longer range rifle (i have shot rifles in the past, just never owned one myself). After much research I decided it was between the 30-06 and the 270 Win and due to the flatter trajectory at longer ranges I went with the 270 in a Winchester Rifle... I took it out for the first time and I very much love this rifle... The bolt just seems to glide, smooth as butter... the MOA trigger reminded me of my 1911 trigger, which has no creep... it is always at the break point... As for recoil... It isn't much at all, just a little bit of a rearward push... After zeroing in the weapon with my Nikon Scope, I had a shot group the size of around a quarter from 100 yards... Not too bad for a first day! This is a fine weapon and if you are out to get a rifle, you should definitely consider looking into this one!
