I purchased 2 of these DPMS AR-15's, recommended by my local gun shop over the S&W. He said he can't keep them in stock. I was amazed how light it is and how good looking. I attached a red & green dot sight and drove up to the mountains.
I shot it about 60 times and man was it fun, or at least until the breach started hanging up. Took it home and it was really dry, I cleaned & lubed it up and it's working great again. I've ordered a sling and mount, a rubber Hogue grip, rubber butt pad and extra magazines, oh yea, and a custom case. I may sell or trade the second one. I was expecting some serious recoil, but there's not hardly any. Really a joy to shoot. I'm an entry level gunner, maybe you can tell, but my gun shop owner says it's a great gun and good value. I agree. Get one.

Great value for the price. According to wikipedia this company was bought by the freedom group in 2007 and is produced in Huntsville AL in the same facility that produces Bushmaster and Remington ARs. Mine seems well built. Be sure to clean and lube it before you take it out. The final check slip that came with mine said it was test fired 10 times which I think is good, but it was dirty and dry. I have not used the cheap metal mag that came with it. Got some 10 round Gen 3 Pmags before it arrived. (California gun laws suck) Have been out twice with it shooting 100 rounds each time. Ran great with Remington and PMC .223 and federal M193 and M885 5.56. No malfunctions of any kind so far I am very happy with this gun. I have had a chance to look at other budget ARs that are $150-200 more and they do not look any better built from what I can see. I used the money I saved to get a Leupold 1 piece AR scope mount and a VX1 2-7x33 scope to put on it.
