Josiah, Most of these semi-auto shotguns have the spring right under the fore end below the barrel behind the fore end fastener/gas control valve knob.

Michael, semi-auto's have part of the recoil mechanism designed a good ways into the stock unlike pump tactical shotguns. If you can find a compatible pistol gripped stock, yes you can. This may be difficult to locate.
