Very nice rifle. Over 500 rounds through it without a single malfunction. VERY accurate. Out of all of the ammo I tested it with it liked Hornady 53 gr ballistic tip the best. Covered a 5 shot group from a hundred yards with a quarter. Pairs nicely with my nikkon p-223 4x12x40. I suggest putting in the $10 trigger springs from JP enterprise trigger pull reduction in. Super smooth trigger. At $700 you can't beat it. A bit heavy but only to be expected with a bull barrell, scope, and bipod.

Buds - Great business. Transaction was smooth, shipped to west Texas within a week. Will be buying from them again soon.

I just picked up my Olympic Arms K8 yesterday. Brought it home, disassembled it, cleaned and lubed. Mounted a cheap simmons scop I had on my customized Mosin Nagant. Headed to the range, and unfortunately, only had 75gr. shells. I had 4 different brands, and one brand was steel cased. The fit and finish of the K8 is excellent, the upper and lower fit very tightly with absolutely zero play. The rifle looks very nice. This particular rifle in 1 in 9" twist does not like 75gr. ammo. With the exception of the (remanufactured Black Hills 75gr., I was putting the bullets inside an inch a 100 yards), with the exception of a couple of flyers, (my fault). NO failures to feed, fire, or eject. The K8 performed flawlessly. The metal magazine that came with rifle was loose fitting but still fed perfectly. Now that the bore has been brokien in, and with some high scope rings, so I can achieve proper eye/scope allignment, I expect this rifle to be an extremely accurate ar. Note - you MUST use high scope rings, or you will be pressing your cheek bone and eye socket down onto the butt stock to be able to see through your scope. I'll give another accuracy update once I instlall the necessary high scope rings. Love the rifle so far and would HIGHLY recommend the K8 to anyone looking for a budget target rifle. Oh, forgot to mention - the trigger isn't all that bad - not perfect by any means. But by stock ar standards, I think it is very good. In my opinion, Olympic Arms manufactures a very nice quality AR 15 rifle. Buds shipped the rifle before their stated deadline and it arrived in perfect condition. Their price was as good as anyone's on the internet, and better than most.

it took about 2 weeks for the gun to get here but it was worth it.The gun shoots great.I put a 4x12 cabelas pine ridge scope and a bipod on it.It shot 1/2 to 3/4 in. groups with hornady superformance varmint and HPR ammo. The only thing I didn't like was the stock is a little uncomfortable.Overall it is a great gun.

I ordered the K8 last august and have had it a little over six months... Nothing but satisfied. Since the fist round though it with no sights "New AR excitement" to it shooting now at 1/4 moa at 100 its been a great gun. I have turned what i thought was going to be another one of my safe queens into my first choice coyote gun. Very satisfied with Buds as well.. Quick shipping and answered all my questions.. Will definitely use them again..

Ordered Monday AM, at my FFL Wednesday AM. Problem with carrying case having broken hinge, Bud's shipping a replacement at N/C. Could not ask for better service! Rifle is what I expected, fit and finish good, but not excellent. Since I have to find sights or optics I like, not likely to go to range for a few weeks. Intial impression of the K8 is favorable, have to see how it shots.

The rifle arrived with somewhat of a detour it came out of Louisianna some how. I got it at about 7:00 P.M, took it home and cleaned the K8.
It has been fired and not cleaned. No Problem I field striped it in less than a minute and it took 10 minutes to clean it up. Mounted a Bushnell 2.5 -9 going to the range in the AM. Easy scope mount and lazer bore site took less than 5 minutes. After 25 years of military life it better be easy... Love this gun so far very hvy. I have an all a round target varmint gun and trust me I have kill a lot of WT with a 223.
