Tristar Arms Viper G2 Silver 12 Gauge Shotgun - Stainless/Silver, 28" Barrel, 5 Rounds, Wood Stock, 3" Chamber

I have had this shotgun about two weeks now. I have put around 200 round though it. So far I have nothing but good things to say about it. I have never owned a semi auto shotgun only pumps. I wanted a budget friendly semi auto for my first. Some internet searching brought me to this gun and I am very happy. The fit and finish are way above what I expected for the price point. I am very happy with this purchase.

I am a fan of the Tristar G2 shotguns. I have three of them 12,20, & 28. They are finished well and assemble very similar to my Beretta A400 shotguns. All have proved reliable so far without a hickup.

Did not get the tool for the choke tubes with my my gun

This is a solid semi automatic shotgun. Tristar has some reliable products. Good to start with a 3 inch shell for about 20 rounds to help it break in. I have not had any issues so far and it is a beautiful gun. I will buy another.

I was not sure what to expect with this shotgun. I had only seen good reviews and I'm here to add to that. The wood is beautiful, and everything fits tight, and flush. The silver receiver is eye-catching, especially with the great wood furniture. It came with a shim kit and I was able to fit the gun to me in about 20 minutes (my first time ever doing something like that). It also came covered in a thick, greasy mess, that did clean relatively easily. It is incredibly easy to take down and clean. (Even for a first-time semi-auto guy, with no gun experience, I was able to figure it out. The box tells you to run 20 magnum shells through the gun to help break in the action. I chose not to do this. Instead I cleaned and lubed it well, and fired 50 rounds of Winchester USA Value Pack 2 3/4 in, 7 1/2 shot, through it (the cheapest stuff I could find). Not 1 single hangup, missfire, FTF, FTE, nothing! I was really surprised and was almost flinching, just waiting for this gun to hang up -- nothing. I know 50 shots isn't that much to go on, but I am incredibly impressed with this product. You won't be disappointed.

Decent gun

Fast shipping, beautiful shotguns. Broke in with high power shells, then ran 3, 100rd cases of Federal Target loads shooting clays. Gun swings well, and is well balanced. It's a gas piston gun, so you'll have to clean it more often than an inertia driven gun, but it's not horrible. Gun had great accuracy for me, and made me look like I knew what I was doing with the clays.

Call my momma I fell in love! This shotgun just can't be done any justice by a picture. She chewed through the magnum rounds to break in the action without a hitch. Then fired the 2 3/4 clay rounds like butter! Beautiful fit & finish with fantastic wood stock & foregrip! Super satisfied with appearance & performance!

This is a good, solid gun for the price! I picked it up here at Buds for $295.00! This gun looks and handles like a much more expensive shotgun. Per the manual this gun requires a 20 high power round "Break In". After that this gun will reliably shoot 1oz 2 3/4" and 1 7/8 3" round. This gun likes 2 3/4" rounds better than the 3". After the recommended break in I have yet to have a 2 3/4" shell fail to load. This is an great gun for the price! I took a gamble and it has paid of well!
