Fine coach gun. Works great and is accurate. Shells fall out with no problem for SASS shooting. It is well made and is a natural \"pointer\". External hammers are easy to cock, and give it a truly authentic \"western\" look. I highly recommend this Cimmaron 1878 Coach gun. Also, as usual, Buds was great to work with (this is my 5th purchase from Buds). Put the gun on layaway, and everything went perfectly.

Ordered one of these a couple years ago; got the typical Bud\'s Gun Shop treatment (GREAT), pleasant ordering process, and speedy delivery, without hassle. Fine little scatter gun, loved it, and gave it to my brother; wish I had one, but can\'t afford it right now. I do hope to buy another one for me one day, and would recommend this little item to a friend, or anyone for fun, home defense, or any reason someone could think of for owning a really nice side-by-side pellet popper. Yes, I shot it a bunch before presenting it to my brother as a gift; wouldn\'t have given it to him if I disapproved- it was great. I consider it a little pricey, but hell, you get what you pay for. I\'ve dealt with Bud\'s for a lot of years now and they have always been great to me; always best price and service, and they treat you like people, not just like another customer.

great shotgun i love it. let one slip away a few months ago and finally got another chance. So far ive had a few issues such as hard to break open after firing but i think its either picky on ammo or just needs some break in time. was a little disappointed that the hammers were in a permanent half cock position, when trigger is pulled they hit firing pin then spring back to half cock, but its not a deal breaker. had a couple shots on the right barrel that i had to recock and fire a few times before it fired but im still crediting that to needing a break in period. I also think i need to polish out the chambers because i cant just shake out the spent shells like i need to for CAS

Overall I'm very happy with this coach gun. The fit and finish was very nice and even the wood was better than expected. But it's very plain looking because there is no checkering. Without the checkering it looks like something is missing......yeah the checkering!! The only disappointment was that the lever won't break the action when the right hammer is cocked due to interference. Needless to say I broke out the dremel tool to cut the underside of the right hammer for clearance. Now it can be fan cocked and lever opened for CAS style shooting.
Hammer spring tension isn't bad to cock them both with one hand, but the lever spring tension is just a bit more than needed and that makes the gun stiffer to close.
The only thing that hurts is the weight at a little over 8lbs it feels heavy, sure it helps the recoil but this thing is built like a tank and feels like one too. Bottom line is if I had to do it all over again I would without hesitation. This has to be the best 12ga hammer coach gun for the money in this price range and Buds had the best price too.

First time using Bud's layaway and what a deal! Communication excellent and the transfer was made very quickly. Already have two more guns on layaway ! The Coach Gun came in two pieces and the forend separate. It was heavily coated with cosmo. It took awhile to get it cleaned up. The forend install was an issue for me. The clip that tightens it to the gun didn't seem to fit/work. After messing with it for about 20 minutes I got it installed. I actually sliced my thumb pretty good on the clip. That was my only issue with this gun. Overall the finish and function is very good. I didn't feel the need to take it apart or anything. It breaks open very easily and using AA Winchesters the shells fall right out of the chambers. Very pleased with it right out of the box. I love the way it shoulders and points naturally. Overall very pleased.
