Kimber Amethys Ultra II .45 ACP - 7 Rounds

The Kimber Amethyst Ultra 2 is a very well made gun. I love the color scheme and my wife will enjoy this new one. It’s a heavy well made gun that should last for years. We haven’t been able to get to the range yet but soon. I usually save my reviews for after the range . The only issue I have for my purchases was Kimber, supposedly one of the better made firearm’s , especially for the price $$$$ should include “2 Mags”. I don’t understand that, every other firearm I have purchased came with “TWO” mags! “Kimber” you need to step up your game and send me another magazine, special edition firearm and only one mag…

I bought this item on buds gun shop.com through their layaway program. The buying experience was a 5 star experience. When I picked the gun up, no problems with the transfer. When I got the gun home and shot it, on the first round it failed to seat the next round completely in the chamber. I have put about 100 rounds through it and the problem remains consistent every couple of round it seems to not cycle completely. I have tried various round from Blazer to Winchester it no difference. I took the gun back to Buds in Lexington, the sale people were polite and inspected, cleaned, and fired the gun. They experienced the same problems I have. The man that was helping me told me Kimber have a break in period of about 500 rounds. I own several guns from various manufacturers including a few other Kimbers. I have never owned or seen a gun that would require a break in period to make it safe to shoot. Not interested in my money back but would like a replacement in the exact gun that functions as it should.
