Very disappointed with purchase.
Rifle was packaged dry, no oil or preservative. Both barrels had surface rust that was easily removed with a oil and a paper towel but there is little bluing left. Both barrels have significant tooling marks in the bore. First time I cocked the hammer at the range, there was a "snap" and the hammer would not lock back.Something broke inside the receiver.
I've owned three H&R Handi-Rifles 15 years ago; 223 Rem, 30-30 Win, and 444 Marlin, and all went back to the factory for something. I see nothing has changed and Remington sure is not making them any better. So, I guess this will go to back if H&R hasn't closed it's doors. When it arrives, it will be immediately placed on my FFL's consignment rack.
Good luck with your purchase, this is a very cheaply made firearm.
