A fun gun to shoot. Not practical for CCW but it is different. Seems to prefer the 410 loads for handguns. Also 45LC Tends to be a bit pricey so not one you will shoot all day long. Recoil is manageable.

SUPER GREAT DEAL By dealing with Bud's Gun Shop I was able to get a 3" stainless steel version of the Judge cheaper than a 21/2 blued model at other shops. Guess where I'll be buying. I took it out to the range yesterday and if you think a .410 is a small baby shot, well guess again, it kicks more than my 357 S&W. So make Bud's your store and you won't be disappointed

Had ordered this very same item from Bud's Gun Shop several years ago. Needed another due to someone wanting it more than I including my pickup. The ordering and shipping procedure was notably quick. Ordered on Monday: had weapon on Wednesday. Was received in excellent condition.

This is an awesome weapon! I will be using it as my home defense weapon with the PDX1 ammo. I will also add a couple of Lehigh Colts! All I can say is, I sure would now want to be on the receiving end of this gun!!! I plan to add a 3000 lux light to the pistol so it will always be there. WOW!!! I could not be more pleased with this gun! I give it 10 stars!

First off, I\'ve ordered several firearms from Bud\'s - love \'em. After reading some of the reviews for the Judge, I decided to get one. I bought this Judge for $404 which was a pretty good deal. I was looking very forward to shooting it.
I bought some good (and pricey) Remington 45 Colt and Federal .410 handgun ammo and headed to the range. Once I loaded up, I cocked the hammer back and pressed the trigger. BANG! Not too much recoil and was very impressed. However, when I went to shoot again in double action....CLICK. Pressed the trigger again and BANG! This occurred several times with both types of ammo. Not sure if it\'s a timing issue, hammer issue, light strike, etc. The hammer would also lock up at times as if the safety mechanism were engaged and there were times where you really had to mess with the cylinder release to get the cylinder out. I\'m having to send back to Taurus for repair.
This revolver was right out of the box.....literally. I was not pleased. I heard Taurus has a pretty decent customer service program, so we\'ll see how this goes.
If I could do it all over again, I\'d spend a couple extra hundred dollars and buy the S&W Governor. This is my first Taurus.....and last.

The horns definitely hooked me on this one (in a good way, not as in i feel I was stabbed and am bleeding to death.....). What I think I see in recent years is Taurus increasing overall quality as well as consistency. They also seem to look more and more like S&Ws. Whether by arrangement or copying it is a great model to follow. I\'m impressed by the fit, finish and feel. (But clean the holy hell out of it before use. They really grease them up down there and they often come wet and gritty and even a little dull looking. That\'s a great sign! It means it hasn\'t been disturbed since the factory. I like to call it a \"brazillian\", and once you clean it up it will look and feel spectacular. Every new gun needs cleaning, brazillians need to be thorougly treated.)
It\'s worth at least every penny. No, it isn\'t perfection in every crevice, tight as a rock even on passive lockup, machine that fuses the best craftsmanship with the best technology with the best metals, like a high-end Smith and Wesson. But, it is a damn fine revolver that you should be proud to show anyone (and is not trying to compete with a high-end S&W, that\'s why you can afford it ;).
Double action trigger is quite light compared to, say, S&W standard production; and while it lacks the same precision, I don\'t doubt many people would prefer the lighter pull on the Taurus. Single action is not at all bad, but again if you\'re a princess (like me) you can still feel the pea. None of this adds up to criticism though, just the small differences between a great revolver at this price and a high end revolver. I recommend Judge Magnum without reservation.
Also, who wants some liberal poly public defender? Hang \'em high with a stainless steel magnum!
