Rugers M77GS rifles are the best for various hunting conditions. I have this in the 450bushmaster and in 308 cal. And this .233 is great for deer, coyote and and prairie dog hunting. It’s great for in the timber or open country. You have either 5 shot or 10 shot magazine to choose and open or scoped. Scoped you can use your scout scope or regular with provided mounts.

Very well made, good-looking rifle, with great iron sights. Went through 30 rounds (as rapid as a bolt goes) literally out of the box and hit 12" steel back-and-forth with each round 100 to 200 yds standing with a sling. Limited scope options. Really like it, but would rather have an accurate AR or just an AKM at that range. Would be an excellent ranch or varmint control rifle. Feels natural, and works well with a traditional sling locked around the elbow in a standing or sitting position (a la USMC boot training). Ended up selling it.

The Ruger M77GS arrived and I couldn't be happier with the rifle or Bud's service. The fit and finish of the rifle are flawless and it is very accurate.

Excellent rifle! Open sights are very useable. Accuracy is great. Shoots both jacketed and cast bullets well. Robust and maneuverable.

The rifle was delivered to my FFL dealer in perfect condition. The laminated stock is rock solid and the receiver and barrel fit is spot on. Haven't had a chance to take to the range, but expect great performance. The stainless steel version is a good option for all weather conditions. The bolt fits nicely with smooth action. Looking for see through scope mounts so the iron sights can be used along with a scout scope.

This carbine is really good-looking and fun to shoot! After slight and simple rear sight adjustment I was hitting steel plates at 200 yards easily and consistently within 1st 10 shots. Really like this firearm!

First off Buds was great as usual, great price and service. I have wanted a bolt .223 for many years and have considered many different options, models and brands. I always came back to this particular model from Ruger and when I finally purchased the firearm I was not let down. This is a very solid, rugged feeling and beautiful rifle. The stock on mine is a nice greenish laminate that looks phenominal. There is aggresive checkering on the forend that really gives you a solid grip. Accuracy was great out of the box and with minor adjustment it was incredible. I was easily hitting a 6 inch gong at 75 yards using irons using 62 grain fmj Armscor ammo. My intended use for this rifle is varmint control and range fun so it is plenty accurate for my needs. With a scope I know it can very easily reach out much farther. I even think Irons would be good out past 75 yards too, just have not tried yet. Fit and finish is stunning and as stated above this rifle feels overbuilt in a way. Incredibly solid and rugged. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good bolt with iron sights and of course .223 is inexpensive and fun to shoot. This goes well with any collection and especailly if you have AR style rifles or others that use .223

Great 5.56 Gunsite Scout that Bud's had at a giveaway price. I bought mine as a little brother to a .308 Gunsite Scout I have. This rifle has a lot of extras that allow you to tailor it to your preference. The quality is impeccable. The barrel is free floated and the rifle is built strong. The bolt was surprisingly smooth out of the box. The only thing that sucked is the metal magazine supplied but I bought a couple Ruger polymer mags for it and they work perfectly and look 100% better than the metal one. I am a collector but I have to say I love the Ruger Gunsite Scouts better than most factory bolt rifles that are competitors.
