Upper receiver is Mil-spec with indexing marks and
M4 feed ramps. Chrome-moly Vanadium steel, cold hammer forged,
chrome-lined barrel. Barrel is 14.5 inch with pinned 1.5 inch DD flash
hider for a total length of sixteen inches. No sights. CNC machined from
aircraft grade aluminum M4A1 RISII rail system in SOCOM approved
military flat dark earth with anodized finish. Laser etched M4A1 on left
side of upper. Lower receiver is Mil-spec with enhanced flared magazine
well. MAGPUL MOE adjustable buttstock. Includes MAGPUL PMag magazine in
black.

Just picked up this rifle at my ffl everything was just as I expected it would be. It being a Daniel defence.buds got it to me quickly no problems. The kicker I looked at this weapon at cheaper then dirt was priced 500.00 more then buds. It pays to shop

Thank you Buds for great service & for great prices. This DD M4 A1 is excellent. I now have the Colt 6920 Socom as well as the Daniel Defense M4 A1 both great quality rifle but IMO Daniel Defense is definitely my go to SHTF rifle.Added some goodies to it made it FTE changed the Magpil stock to CTR & threw on a Vickers sling.Swwet!! Buds is the best

Superb mechanically built light carbine. Tight tolerances. Would have given it 5 stars if DD wouldn't have added the base model magpul buttstock. You would think for a $1500 DI system DD would have finished the rifle with a quality buttstock. There is a whole lot of play. Enough play in the buttstock that it rattles and moves around when placed in the shoulder pocket. Not a big deal the buttstock can be replaced, but for the money and well DD built carbine I expected the cherry on top. 5 stars for the carbine (mechanical), 4 stars for the overall weapon fit and finish.

I my opinion, short of getting a DD MK18 SBR. This is about as top the line as you can get. I don't know why more people aren't snatching these up. They are a limited run. It's not on the DD civilian website, click under Government and you'll find it there, only difference is the Gov't version is sanitized with no laser etching. The rifle is incredibly light considering it has a gov't profile barrel. The RISII rail is gorgeous on this rifle too!

Every bit of perfection. Mil spec plus across the board. Lighter and better made than Colt.
