SOMETIMES THE BUZZ IS GOOD. The buzz about the SIG SAUER® Mosquito, is that–this scaled down, rimfire version of the company’s popular P226® reduces the noise, recoil and expense of centerfire shooting but keeps the accuracy, precision and exhilaration the same. The polymer frame, blowback-operated pistol is offered in a wide range of configurations.

We have had a blast with the Sig Mosquito. It is very accurate and fun to shoot. My son and I put 100 rounds of Remington target ammo through it and had two failure to fire and two or three failure to feed. Because of the low powder ammo the failures did not surprise me and the failure to feed is caused by the magazine. When the mag is loaded, you have to make sure that the rounds stack on the follower properly otherwise they do not line up with the barrel properly. Once I figured out the problem there were no more issues. Next time out I used some Remington Golden Bullet prototype ammo that Remington sent me when I was testing rimfire rifles for them. This ammo is noticeably hotter than the target ammo and the gun performed flawlessly. I would recommend this Sig Mosquito to anyone who wants hours of inexpensive and fun target shooting. Well worth the money spent. Next comes the supressor!
