CVA Optima Pistol V2 209 Magnum Break-Action 50cal 14" Stainless/Black

This is one of my favorite pistols I hunt with! Shot a big Doe at 70 yards and she dropped in her tracks!! Barns and 75 grains Blackhorn 209!

The gun arrived quickly. It's a great shooting, accurate and fun pistol. I was surprised to get 1-1/2" groups at 50 yards shooting from sandbags. That's with a 2X scope mounted. It can probably produce tighter groups with a higher powered scope. I'm shooting 60 grains of Blackhorn 209 and a 300 grain Scorpion Funnel point bullet.

Was surprised at the accuracy of the pistol. I topped it with a vortex SPARC and was cutting nickles at 30 yards with 65gr of pyrodex rs powder and tc cheap shot 240gr HP lead shot. Saving for another one right now. Not much room to hold with both hands but recoil is manageable. Can't wait to take a deer with it. And can't wait to get another one. Shipping was pretty quick. About average 3-5 days.

This thing is a BLAST to shoot. The trigger is AWESOME.

I got one of these pistols from Bud's and it came with just the scope mount. I ordered iron sights for it and they were made of plastic. They fell apart after a few shots. After reassembling them, I went hunting all day to realize the sights had fell off the gun again. Use a scope with this pistol but do not buy the CVA sights for it as they will not last five shots!

Order was placed on Sunday and pistol was at the door on Wednesday. Super fast on Buds part. It came with out sites , which i knew about .Had ordered sites from cva but not to happy with them as the screws are smaller than the holes on the rear of barrel. So I have installed a Tru Glow 5 moa red dot and the combo shoots great. Great black powder pistol for a great price.

I made an offer and got this at a great price. It came new in box from the distributor as advertised, and arrived one week after I ordered it. This was my first purchase from Bud's and I will certainly use Bud's in the future. As for the gun itself, I haven't shot it but everything that was supposed to come with it came with it, and it was as advertised.
