Howa-Legacy Barreled Action .308 Winchester, Heavy Barrel, Stainless, 24"

Great performance. Has a lot of the "buzzword features" like M16 style extractor, integrated recoil lug, one piece bolt, recessed barrel crown, 2-stage adjustable trigger, heavy barrel, 3-position safety, and actual metal bottom metal. Has a 5 year manufacturers warranty to boot. I put it on a B&C medalist stock and, although I had to bed the recoil lug area to get the fit right such that the recoil wasn't going straight to the action screws, it's now shooting sub MOA all day, and the heavy barrel takes quite a while to heat up. It came with a couple of blems, but that's because Legacy's packaging consists of one piece of styrofoam in a two piece coardboard box. I'm not too concerned about it though as its Cerakoted Stainless. Overall its a great action, and there is more aftermarket support now for the Howas/Vanguards now so getting parts isn't such a chore. 5/5 for the price point
