Core15 Tac III 5.56 NATO Semi Automatic Rifle - 30 Rounds | 16" Barrel | Collapsible Stock | Synthetic | Blue/Black

This was my first rifle purchase almost 3 years ago and I caught the bug so I have like 8 now, all of which I built at least half of except this one. If I were to give this a rating on value alone, it would be 5 stars, hands down. As others have mentioned, its not perfect, but it is as good as most anyone would ever need. Ok, so the reasons I did not give it 5 stars are as follows...The rail attachment method for this one is not the best, as such, the installer over-torqued it and bent one of the pins that lock it up (Only 2 nubs are used for locking, it seems rock solid, but this is a bit concerning to me) and there is a gap between upper receiver and rail, very common when you do not use a matched set. Also, the barrel has been nitrided, NOT chrome lined, when I called CORE to inquire about this, they told me that they decided that their nitriding will last just as long, while being more accurate. Maybe that is true, but I'M supposed to make those decisions, how hard is it to change the model number and give it an accurate description, which they still have not done to this day on their web site. THAT is the biggest reason I am not giving it 5 stars, I probably would over-look the rest since it is not ENTIRELY their fault the rail leaves a gap. I say entirely because they are selling a complete rifle, they made the decision knowing all the facts going in. Everything functions flawlessly through about 500 rounds and the trigger is amazing for a stock trigger in this price range that comes with a free float rail, unless you are a professional, you will not need to replace it or customize or nothing, its exactly as it should be in my opinion. A word to the wise though, while I appreciate this coming with ALUMINUM sights that have been great so far, I do not believe they are Magpul MBUS. I bought an offset pair of MBUS Pro (meaning the aluminum, not polymer), and they appeared very different. I thought maybe it was a different generation at first, but I've looked it up and none of them look these sights and their is no branding of any kind on them. Still glad to have them, saves me more money, but I do NOT believe they are MBUS.

Has a little blemish on the upper but otherwise it good. Fast shipping too. Haven't shoot the gun yet so I'll get back later

The fit between the upper and lower were okay, there were quite a few blemishes like burs, pin punch mark on bolt release, the bcg sat crookedly in the upper, the mi gen 2 ss rail was a little off alignment with the upper, the right trigger housing wall on the lower was thinner than the left side. I don't know, maybe i just got a bad one, I don't know if i should send it to core15 to be replaced with a new one or not but the rifle works and still looks nice.

This was my first online gun purchase & I was a little nervous about it. I received my Core Tac III today at my FFL. It arrived in perfect condition. The fit between the upper and lower is nice & tight. The trigger on this gun is very nice. You can't beat what this gun has for the money. Core-15 baby!

I bought this gun because of the reviews.I ordered it at the discount price because I wasnt in a big hurry and recieved it about 10 days later.I purchased the lifetime warranty also and when I recieved it I found out Core warranties this gun for LIFE no BS if you hand it down 5 times bend it break it,they warranty it. So i call Buds and talked to the sales gentleman and he checked Cores website and guess what? He credited my account the whole 50.00.To say I was impressed is an understatement.This is my second purchase from Buds and I dont ever need to go anywhere else. Now for the gun,I left the range an hour ago and couldnt believe how acurate and smooth this AR is.I love this gun. A sling and an optic and its gonna kick butt

I purchased this rifle about a month ago and just got out to scope it in the other day. I have to say that, based on the Core 15 reviews I've seen here and other places, my expectations were pretty high and I was not disappointed when I inspected the rifle. The fit between upper and lower is tight, gas key is well staked, the MI guard was properly installed. BGS listed this gun without sights but according to Core 15 the Magpul MBUS are standard on this gun so I was expecting them to be there and they were. Shipped with a PMAG G2 Magazine in a medium grade plastic case. Finish is good, no irregularities or blemishes. I outfitted this with the Nikon 1-4x24 PCL and PEPR mount. I dialed this into sub MOA grouping within 10 rounds at the range. All in all I'm very pleased with this purchase and would buy from BGS again. I also would recommend Core15 as a quality product and good value, based on my first experience with them.

I finally made the plunge into the AR market. After researching brand upon brand model upon model i decided the core15 tacIII had all the options i wanted at the price i wanted to pay. It is a beautifully put together gun the fit and finish are spectacular I threw a vortex spitfire optic on it and it shoots superb. Buds as has always been in my experience did an excellent job. The only negative if you can call it that was the trigger guard had a few blemishes but it was going to get them anyways. Ive gotten many compliments on the Midwest industries rail, and the gentlemen at my local FFL were impressed by howuch gun i had gotten for my dollar.

This gun has so many features for the money. I couldn't find a better deal. So far the first 100 rounds through it have been flawless. The bolt and charging handle were very tight at first but have since loosened up and work smoothly. The trigger is great and I love the mid length gas system. I am very satisfied with this purchase. I would by another if I needed one more 5.56.

This is a very good ar platform for the money. I use the magpul sights it came with, functioned flawlessly .
