I should have bought this initially instead of the Sig P226 with the crappy Sig red dot. The thing eats batteries like Pac-man. I am very happy with the Arex. No, the Arex will not fit in a Sig P226 holster.

Wow, this is a SWEET pistol. It looks good, has a great trigger (I measured it at 5.5# SA), and I get a lot of compliments at the range. I own about a dozen SIG P226/220 series pistols, and this one is certainly a clone-type. However it has several upgrades, including a manual safety and threaded barrel, plus a slide stop. The mag release and safety are both ambidextrous. The safety is easy to take off with a flick of the thumb, and has an audible and tactile "click", however putting the safety on is a conscious action and will NOT happen accidentally. I must say this was a well thought out feature. I put a Trijicon RMR red dot sight on it, and also some Talon grip tape, and overall I believe that this pistol is simply a terrific value. Feels great in the hand, is very accurate, and in my opinion is as quality-packed as any of my SIGs, at a much better price. The gray cerakote on the frame looks extremely good with the blue of the slide. I'm very impressed so far, and am very happy with my purchase. I will also add that even though it's a steel slide, and aluminum frame, it's as light as a Glock, and yet is clearly a much better pistol, in many ways.
