The M 1911 GI standard is a great representation of the original US GI combat issue 1911 and is chambered in 38 Super and built with our exacting engineering standards. Fixed, low profile sights and traditional smooth slim design are perfect for quick pull holster use. A durable parkerized finish gives it a tough, smooth, non-reflective surface. Smooth wood grips offer comfort in both feel and design. The 5" barrel offers a balanced weight to assist with the accuracy and recoil that made the original 1911 design famous. True to all Rock Island 1911s, the GI Standard comes with a crisp factory 4- to 6-pound trigger to make it a great experience right out of the box.

A:Carlo, this was only on older Pistols. They use the small logo behind the left rear serrations as pictured here : https://www.google.com/search?q=ria+1911+pistol+logo&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjc_qLboLHhAhXvp1kKHTQ9D7EQ_AUIDigB&biw=1920&bih=938#imgrc=V9lSnrO7JjmRxM:See 3 more answers | -

A:your problems with caliber swaps in 1911s are that most 1911s use a throated barrel not a ramped barrel. the feed ramp is part of the frame and they are cut differently for each caliber also the ejector would have to be replace with the proper ejector (ejector is pinned in place) extractor would not be a issue as the extractor is part of the 1911 slide assembly and the 38 super magazines will work just fine for 9mm I use my 38 super magazines in my 9mms all the time. It can be done but it would be better to get a dedicated 9mm and be happySee 1 more answer | -

A:I believe the older RIA 38 super used a non-ramped barrel and the new ones use a Clark/Para cut ramped barrel. The Wilson/Nowlin cut is different and will not fit. Get the pistol before you order a barrel to see which it is.See 5 more answers | -
