Great rifle for the price. Always wanted one since basic training in the 60’s.

Had a hard time trying to decide which to get M1 Grande or the M1A, but settled on the M1A, great gun with the reliable sweet Garnde action but with magazines capable of holding more than 8 rounds. Only mistake I made was getting a "cheap" scope mount, way off! Got a Bassett unit and now it's dead on! Out to about 250 yards you don't really need optics, but it does help to see where the round hits on targets. Anyone looking for a reliable, hard hitting weapon, the M1A platform is the way to go. The wife likes it so much she's getting one next. I don't know what will happen after the November elections but I didn't want to take a chance that these great weapons would be hard to get so get them while you can!
