fantastic firearm not only for the price but of its class. i was looking for a 308 when i found the S&W I-bolt. i wasnt keen on the 30-06 but found the gun so attractive i took the chance and purshased it anyway. the gun performs far above its class. i found great accuracy at well over 500 meters producing groups at less then 2" shooting 165 gr remington core-lokt express. it is very true that the bolt itself has a bit of a break-in period where the action of the gun has a tendancy to stick at first but after the first two outings she realy came around. the locking / removal system for the bolt is great ,making gun cleaning easy. the only problem i had was mounting the bi-pod. the flush mounted front sling mount made it dificult but not impossible.
i would most sertainly buy this gun again.

I was going to write that it is an outstanding rifle for the money, but honestly, it's just an outstanding rifle period. I mounted a Falcon Menace 4-14 x44 side focus tactical scope to mine and using cheap Federal shells was able to get sub m.o.a. groups from the gun. The bolt takes a bit of breaking in, but now cycles as smoothly as my Sako L579 and the rifiling on the Thompson sourced barrel is clean and tight. The stock looks a little cheap, but I love that it is totally flat on the underside making it a lot easier to hold target. It's a well thought out rifle that performs as well as rifles costing hundreds more. Only minus I have is that it would be pretty tough to mount a bipod on it.

Bought this rifle for this years hunting season mounted a Nikon 6-18 x 40 Buckmaster . After zero @ 100 yards rifle shoots perfect adjustable trigger is very nice. Great gun (light to carry!) would 100% suggest. Outstanding gun for the money.
