I really looked forward to getting this gun especially the Whisper/Blackout caliber. It's well built and great Realtree finish but after shooting it I'm just a little disappointed. Out of 12 rounds of Gorilla BO 300 Subsonic 208 gr I had 3 fail to load. Ejected the empty case but just didn't quite snag the next round. Next was Hornady Custom 300 110 gr V-Max which loaded and shoots great but each and every one of these empty cases hit the upper ejection port edge and put a big dent in the mouth of the casing and in time is going to damage the port since it is aluminum. Overall a pretty nice gun but if I could go back I think I would look for something else.

Went to order this weapon and couldn't get the order to go through. Got someone from customer service on the line and they made it happen. Great customer service from Bud's Guns. Other companies could take a lesson from the crew at Buds. Got the weapon on time and had a blast shooting it. I really recommend this weapon. Smith and Wesson are my favorite weapons and they didn't disappoint on this one. My only regret is I don't live In Kentucky so I could go and shake the hand of the customer service agent that helped me get this weapon. Great job Buds and thanks a million.

Model M&P15 - 300 Whisper®
It's you typical AR, in 300BLK/Whisper caliber. Have yet to see the advantage or 5R rifling. It is a good shooter, and functions well with my P-Mags. Does not like to cycle sub-sonic rounds using a silencer and P-Mag's however, still looking for a mag that will fit subsonic rounds properly. The stock is the cheap-o I just built an AR stock, replace it and keep it for show (for the camo dip), the grip is the same. I have had no mechanical issues with the rifle. I could have just built this myself for quite a bit less loot but wanted to give S&W rifles a try... Overall I'm pretty pleased with my purchase & would recommend this to anyone that wants to fill their freezer with deer or pig, and not "roll their own". Yee Haw - Get yourself a good thermo sight & your set!
Happy hunting - be it 4 or 2 legged.

I bought this rifle for coyote and deer hunting. I have multiple AR15s and wanted something a touch larger in caliber. The pros. This rifle cycles fine with no failures at all. I put 14 rounds of Barnes 110gr Vor-Tx through it. At 100 yards it's right at an inch with this ammo. It's a very good shooter for this type of profile and it's light. The camo finish is nice also, very good rifle. The Cons, the collapsible stock is loose and rattles, not a huge deal, but for my close range coyote bait hunting it will be a deal breaker. I'll remedy the looseness with some moleskin on the slide. I give this rifle 4 stars only because the stock has some excessive rattling compared to my Colt and Sig. I would recommend this rifle hands down. It wears a Leupold VX-I 3-9x40.

This was the cheapest price I found on this gun. Originally I thought that it was suppose to have an aluminum lower but it looks like this one is polymer, I must have been mistaken. The gun had a few flaws where it looked like it had been banged but it is right where the shell ejects so its gonna get worn anyways. Also looks like the hydro graph process wasn't 100% effective on the foregrip because there were a few white spots in the groves where it looks like the graph didn't take/hold. Last the mag has a little play within the receiver, I haven't shot it yet so I don't know if that will effect its performance. Other than this it wasn't bad and the gun is going to get used anyways and the foregrip will prolly be removed too. Shipped fast, only downside is the amount of time it took for the money to clear buds bank.
