Leupold RCX trail cameras have a blink-of-an-eye trigger speed of less than one second. Both the RCX-1 (8 MP) and the RCX-2 (10 MP) combine that speed with a wide-angle 54-degree camera lens, meaning more images of full bodies and racks rather than ears and rears. The RCX series delivers high-resolution color (day) and infrared (night) still images, as well as a video option and uses CMOS sensor technology to produce tremendously sharp, crisp images. For exceptionally clear images at night, the PIR LEDs (36 in the RCX-1 and up to 48 in the RCX-2) combine with XD (Xtreme definition) image processing and advanced auto-exposure calculations. The digital shutter of the XD processor silently captures the image from the CMOS sensor as soon as the PIR sensor is activated. The IR filter self-activates, protecting from infrared rays during the day and responding in spectacular detail at night. This twice a day action conserves battery life and minimizes noise. A special day/night sensor allows the camera to quickly adjust exposure as light levels change and to activate the infrared (IR) system at night.
RCX Trail Cameras offer customizable features such as multiple options for file type/ size, picture quality, sensitivity (auto or four levels low to super high), time lapse, multi-picture mode, event delay, operation hours, video quality/length, separate day/night settings, camera name, and sensor angle. Both cameras also offer custom picture stamp with date, time, temperature and
