Finally took this little pup out to the range. I really thought this would be pretty snappy with it's size and weight, but was greatly surprised that the recoil was not as bad as I expected. The sites are nothing to write home about, but this gun is for close up and personal. Fun weapon. Pleasantly surprised. Buds as always is tops!

Buds got my gun in just a couple of days. Super fast. I tried the gun at 5 & 7 yards, both single and double action. Using Hornady Critical Defense loads, both +p and non+p ammo I got very good results. The gun packs some recoil with the +p loads. Recoil is quite comfortable with the non+p loads. Accuracy was very good with both loads. Shot at point of aim. I really like the white stripe on the front sight. That really helps with quick pickup of the sights for faster shooting. Revolvers are the definition of reliability. Pull the trigger and it goes bang. No stove pipes, no fte's or ftf's. Reliability period. Life on the line reliability. The LCRx is pocket sized and light. The trigger is smooth and crisp. This is a great personal defense.

Buds Gun Shop has consistently been a very positive experience for me, I buy all of my new firearms through their site. The service is excellent, and the same can be said for the build quality of Ruger firearms. Ruger is one of those brands that I keep coming back to when I sell an unsatisfactory item and seek out a replacement. The LCRx I purchased this month is flawless. It is exactly what I wanted in a pocket carry revolver. Very comfortable weight, wonderfully smooth trigger in both single and double action mode. I remember dry firing my old Security Six .357 to smooth out the trigger (and yes this was a safe thing to do for that specific revolver)...the LCRx needs no such thing. Out of the box, it's a great trigger. Lockup is tight, the cylinder has no wobble, the cylinder gap to the forcing cone is perfect. The front site blade is black with a silver strip to easily line up with the rear notch. Very crisp performance. Will be buying another....from Buds.

I did a lot of research before choosing this option. I was law enforcement for 30+ years and wish this was around then, for a BUG. I love the cam-action trigger for a smooth, easy trigger pull; much better than the S&W snubbies I own. Also was the shrouded hammer with single-action option that swayed me as it can be fired from a concealed pocket/purse if necessary. The large trigger guard is also a big plus.
Then is the light 13.5 ounce weight and the 'amazingly accurate' fixed sights. I opted for the ClipDraw belt/pocket clip for my RF pocket instead of a holster for hot weather carry. Been carrying this about a month now.
I ran 50 rounds of 110gr .38spec range ammo and was very accurate to 10 yards, plenty good for me, but the 50 rounds of non+P was a bit punishing. Later, I tried 10 rounds of Speer Gold Dot 124gr +P (222 ft=lbs energy) and would NOT repeat that very often. The grip has an extra-soft 'spot' built in to help absorb recoil at the thumb web that was a nice touch on the monogrip. Grip is not overly 'sticky' for draw or concealment. Cylinder release is push button instead of typical slide button. The finish appears black and very durable with a stainless barrel, which makes the bore look huge. I chose this over the S&W 340PD at twice the cost due to the Ruger's better trigger.
First Ruger I've owned and my 22nd transaction with Bud's.
