I own two. One of my favorite firearms and my number one cc. I take this thing everywhere in the desantis nemesis holster. Have several hundred rounds, if not a couple thousand through it. Functions flawlessly. Very accurate. I carry with cor-bon dpx. I have bigger hands, and it fits awesome. I love the finger extension, but carry without it.

I'm a sweaty dude. My hands are always needing a good drying. I also always have my hands in my pockets, which in turn, transfers sweat to the lcp. I've carried one daily since 2009 I believe, and the other day I noticed a small spot of rust below the rear sight. I clean it weekly, but it happens. Came right off with a little elbow grease.

My point is, the slide is very well made and very durable.

Pistol looks and feels like a quality firearm. Between me, a friend, and his son we put 50 rounds of fmjs through this pistol thus far. I noticed the takedown pin walking out while firing the first mag through it, gave it a solid push back in, and it stayed put for the rest of our shooting. No failures of any kind. The only complaints- the sights are miniscule, and there is no last shot slide hold open, but that is typical with this sort of pistol.

I purchased this LCP about a year ago and, while it's a nice little carry size, it doesn't feed hollowpoint ammo reliably. Even FMJ's would get hung up until I put about 300 rounds through it. After 300 rounds it fed everything I put into it....for about another 100 rounds. Now it hangs up on every other JHP and will only feed FMJ's. Not what I would consider reliable for a concealed carry weapon. For that reason I WON'T be carrying the LCP. I'm gonna pay the extra buck and buy a Sig Sauer.

I am very disappointed in this weapon. I am not claiming to be any kind of expert or anything regarding weapons but I have done a lot of shooting from joining the USMC in 1986 and working as a LEO for almost 2 decades. I only say that so that readers will understand I ain't exactly "new." This weapon - at least the one they sent me - constantly FTF and you have to rack and work it to get the next round into the chamber, Bam, you shoot that round but the next one doesn't feed properly. I could never get it to shoot more than two rounds without a failure.

Anyway I am not used to unreliable weapons. For work I have a Glock 22 that I qualify with quarterly. I have had this weapon for more than 10 years and it certainly has fired 10,000 or more rounds and it has never failed one time. Prior to that my agency issued Sig 228s. And I have to say we shot even more back then. Probably put 20,000 through it and it never failed ever. I have a low opinion of this Ruger right now. I am gonna try another magazine and if it works properly after that...I'll update. If it doesn't work properly with a new mag I'll keep fooling with it...but I will NEVER trust this weapon.

Got a smoking deal from Bud's and it was 20% less than I last looked at it. Although it took a week to process inside the Bud's warehouse, it shipped off in 3 days when it did. The Ruger LCP was as ordered. Thanks for your excellent price and service.
