• Q: Can you carry it cocked and locked, and while in cocked and locked can you rack the slide to clear the chamber?

  Daniel, yes, the CZ 91152 CZ-75 SP-01 DA/SA can be carried Cocked and Locked and the chamber can be cleared by racking the slide with the magazine removed of course.

• Q: which option is best to do USPSA competition? Also, since (as I understand) you have to start with DA on first shot for guns with hammers, is it highly recommended to have a trigger rework (to get a lighter DA pull)?

  I'm a competitor (A class), CRO and match director for USPSA. The best place to start would be a CZ 75 Shadow or Shadow 2. If you cannot afford that you will not be able to afford to shoot competitively because the cost of ammo will quickly over run the cost of any gun. The only time you will start in DA would be in Production Division. If you shoot Limited Division you can start cocked and safety applied or decocked. The SP-01 is a fine pistol but needs some work as you know to become competitive. Stay away from decocker models because they will decock during the course of fire if you happen to put your thumb behind the decocker during recoil. We all prefer the DA/SA guns for that reason.

• Q: Can I use the 16 round mags that came with my CZ 75b in the CZ 75 SP-01?
  What about the Mec-Gar 17 round mags for the 75b?
  I have a stack of these mags and it would be nice if I could use them in the SP-01.
  I am 99.99% sure the 18 round mags from the SP-01 will fit in the 75b. But if not that would be nice to know too.

  You can use the SP-01 18 round mags in the 75B and the 16 round mags in the SP-01. The 16 round mags will fit flush.

• Q: Hi buds community! I was wondering if this is the model that comes with the decocker. Also can the mag release be switched for a lefty?

  This is the selective action model with no de-cocker. It must be manually de-cocked. It can also be carried with the primary safety enegaged. The SP-01 Tactical model has the de-cocker.
  You can reverse the mag catch but the screw that holds it is staked and also retains the lifter for the trigger bow so be careful.

• Q: I really want a full size CZ after getting my first P07 Duty. I own Sigs, Rugers, Barettas, Smith's and so on but the trigger of my P07 is awesome out of the box! Is their any difference in the triggers between the SP 01 and tactical version? The reason I ask is I currently only own one CZ and don't really have anything to compare it to other than a 92fs trigger pull and smoothness. Any preferences between the two? Thanks and Please Reply.

  Dannie, the triggers on the SP 01 and Tactical are surprisingly similar. At least I can not tell a difference in the two which leads me to believe they may be the same triggers.
