SADLY Savage has produced a dud with this magazine especially if you compare it with the excellent Ruger rotary magazine which Savage has tried but failed to emulate. Loading is very difficult and frustrating. If I knew just how horrible this magazine is I would have never purchased the BMag and will never purchase their semi-auto A17 that uses the same magazine.

Hopefully the 2016 shotshow will have other makers producing rifles that can handle the 17 WSM. The round is a winner. I was able to take prairie dogs at over 300 yards shooting this round in a Ruger 7717 purchased from Bud's.

Perhaps CZ or some other quality maker will produce a bolt rifle or semi-auto in the 17WSM.
