This Taurus 85 ultra lite is a wonderful single double action with a very crisp trigger it is very accurate for being a stub nose , my wife has the blued model so I had to buy the stainless and just a great gun ultra lite it truly an ultra lite budsgunshop has always been fastest shipping great gun

I bought this gun for my wife, she loves it. She likes it for its weight and ease to shoot it. Done put about 300 rounds through it with no problems of any kind. I would recommend it to anybody.

The Taurus M85 Ultralte .38 is a fabulous compact handgun. The fit and finish are superb and the smooth action stages as well or better than the more expensive brands in my collection. I have fired it extensively and would have no reservation of relying on it for daily carry. Kudos to Taurus USA.

Old school snub nose. Feels well made and the price point is hard to beat. I like revolvers given that they can be fired from inside a pocket without malfunctioning, which is good for personal defense, I have never had any malfunctions at all, to be honest. Super easy and simple to load and unload. Being a 38, it will stop what and who you need it to. And if you want to lessen the recoil you can drop in 95-grain (I usually shoot 158). Comfy to hold, although the cylinder release is a little stiff. As I said, never had it bind. Keep it well lubricated and it will last for many years of reliable shooting.

Great little shooter, I paired it with a good pocket holster After about 300 p rounds I started to notice a goove on the ejector star where the casing lip sits. Took it to my local gunsmith I have worked with before and he wasnt worried about it after putting it under the magnifying glass on his workbench. FYI that the grips are awesome for what they do but also block a speedloader so you will need to trim the rubber or come up with a different strategy. I went with speed strips as they are thinner in the pocket.

Bought this for a pocket revolver. Taurus has made great strides since the 90's and now makes a great gun and their warranty is one of the best. This gun functioned great but I needed a little longer grip as I have bigger hands. So I sold this and bought the polymer 85 with the longer grip. Been happy with it too.

Excellent gun I have two now. The pakerized for a bitter and the stainless for carry. Love the gun.
