I have both the 9mm and 45 in this weapon; the review is about the same.
Great weapon once you top it with a red dot (I have a Zeiss Compact Point) and replace the trigger.
Also some may find the stock a little short but Beretta has addon buffer pads available.
My only real complaint about the rifle was the trigger which seems to bother many (Google it).
It is not smooth and seemed to me to require inconsistent pressure and released inconsistently also.
With the Zeiss zeroed at 25yds sub 2" groups with 230gr ball and sub 10" groups at 100yds which was also the far end zero plus a ~3" hold over.
In sum: great gun but replace the trigger.
For home defense both would be great but the 45 with P JHP would be my choice.
Clocked 230gr at 1100fps at 10ft.
