I purchased a rifle that had mixed reviews but as far as the purchasing process through buds guns, it was second to none. The Mauser M18 is the second firearm that I've purchased from Buds and, like my first purchase, the transaction was seamless. Buds did exactly what they said they would do exactly when the said they would: great service/ no problems. The local gun shop receiving both guns were also efficient and friendly. A scope is being mounted on the Mauser today and I'm really excited about sighting it in and gearing up for antelope, deer and elk this fall.
I think the M18 is going to be a good match for the game and wide-open spaces of Nevada. Aesthetically, the rifle is a beauty and a fine example of German engineering. In practical terms, it's lightweight and durable and designed to be hunted hard. Now, if it shoots as well as reported, I'm all set. The old 100 lb Browning .270 with it's beautiful walnut stock may never see the field again. TRM
