Is it nickel that u can polish or painted ?

Tim - it is nickel plated. I'm sure you could find someone who would cerakote it for you, if you want. It can be polished, but the degree of 'sheen' will be determined by the original finish .. in other words, it is what it is. I've seen it described as "It's not the sleekest, lightest, or prettiest, but it is dependable and works! In the end, that's all that matters!" It is a budget firearm.

Can you change out the grips on this gun ? What frame is it sitting on ?

Christopher - Grip choices for this little gun are very limited. The Windicator was originally made and sold under the name Arminius Revolver. From what I can see the grips that fit he Arminius will also fit the Windicator. That still doesn't solve your situation, but it does give you another "search word" to use in running down some grips. The Windicator is on a frame design of its own - it doesn't share with S&W, although in size it is similar to a K frame.

This gun pleasantly surprised me by the quality of craftsmanship. It’s about half the price of a Colt or Smith and Wesson but every bit as good. Quality German craftsmanship. I’m looking for more guns made by Weihrauch to buy now.

I bought this revolver several years ago and no complaints at all,for the price it's well worth it and then some . This revolver is made in Germany and is built very well it shoots accurate with no fails it is a little heavier than some other big name firearms but that's ok with me.I love it enough I just purchased thru Bud's the 2 inch barrel in blued colored and it also is a very well built firearm I carry it every day . I recommend this revolver to anyone looking for a descent priced revolver that'll last for ever.

Haven't fired this pistol yet but, I have three immediate observations: First, I ordered the finish in nickel expecting a nice glossy finish but it is more like stainless than nickel with no gloss. Second, the front sight is not as clear as other comparable revolvers such as the Taurus Tracker. Third, this firearm is very comfortable in the hand and when compared to my Taurus Tracker, it seems like a better feel. Can't wait to shoot it. First impressions are that this is a great value!

The Windicator 357 revolver is a work of art. The fit and finish are 100% right on. The trigger is also great. As expected the double action pull is a bit stiff, but is smooth. The single action pull is unbelievable. Ultra short and light. I am retiring my Smit and Wesson model 19-3, and the windicator will become my go to wheel gun. Bud's service was fantastic as always. Both rate 5 stars.

I paid 362 for the nickel plated one back in 2019. Haven't shot it a whole lot..maybe 400-500 rds... but it is accurate. Double action is a job, but I really don't plan on carrying it much, though I have a few times. I have also taken it with me a couple times when I'm in the black-bear bush territory. A 180 grain buffalo bore .357 mag round flying at 1400 fps is "unfriendly" to unfriendly black bears. Anyways, I like it. I decided to keep it.

I’m really happy with this purchase. Beautifully designed with a good double action trigger. Also it is very accurate and feels great in the hand. Good weight as well. Not too heavy. I can easily carry this and not even think about it.

Bud's was outstanding with shipping. Love ordering from Bud's. Good revolver. The double action trigger needs work. It loosened up after 50 rounds or so, but still along way from being where it needs to be, but no failures and no issues apart from that. Good gun for a good price
