Being my first bolt action..shoots well,very accurate, .75-1” groupings @ 100yrds, factory loads...ai style mag, a plus..some feeding issues, but nothing a few more shooting sessions can’t cure..very pleased with this purchase..And thanks to bud’s for a very stress free online purchase..that being my first as well...aloha and mahalo!!

This is my first 308 and I have to say it's now one of my faves. The trigger is nice and the Magpul AICS mags work great, so you can easily upgrade to 5 or 10 round mags. The stock feels stiff enough and recoil is not bad for being so light. Added a folding bipod & Nikon 4x-12x scope. Can't wait for my next trip to the range.

Got the Ruger Predator to replace my Ruger American. I wanted the thicker barrel with the threads for a suppressor or brake, down the road. I put on a Vortex Viper HS 4-16x44 scope. I got the rings lapped and then hit up the range. So far the gun likes Hornady Whitetail the best. I was able to hit 1"moa easy. I have not pushed it back yet, but plan on getting this set to hunt up to 300 yards. So far, it seems like it is fully capable of that. The stock is much better than previous stocks (more solid and was free-floated without needing to file anything down), and the ability to buy mags that carry more than 4 rounds is a huge plus (I really dislike the rotary mags). The only down side is the new mag well does make it hard to fully take down for cleaning. I would get this over the American just for the stronger barrel and the threads. But the American is still a great gun.
