John, .578x28 is the most common thread for .45 cal weapons. That holds true for this pistols threaded barrel also.

CA pistol roster is annoying, I know Springfield XD’s are CA legal but is this particular model CA legal ??? I want to order this

Unfortunately the springfield XDMs aren't on the roster. The magazine would be illegal and the threaded barrel would make it an assault weapon. Gotta love Commiefornia! This is probably the closest thing to what you are looking for that is California legal budsgunshop.com/catalog/mobile/product/31145/springfield+xd9611sp06+xd+service+10%2b1+45acp+4" It's out of stock though. Click products on the home page, then handguns, then springfield armory, and click filter to select CA compliant. You'll see they only have XD compacts in stock. Two are 9mm and one is a .40.

I believe the original XD has some CA legal models. Notably the ones with 10 round or less magazines, like the .45, or the subcompact .40. Of course the way CA outlaws things, this might not be the case for long. Who knows?

Very nice gun, shoots well, trigger is awesome !!. Comes with 3 Mags,threaded barrel, 3 dot suppressor sights(not night sights) 2 extra backstraps, lock,(we all need another one of those),bore brush,instructions & registration paperwork. I wanted a full size pistol , this model is full size...although it's a double stack, it feels slimmer than my Glock 21, but I haven't measured it. Very satisfied, Bud's was excellent as always.

This XD(M) was delivered very soon after Bud's received the cleared payment (I used the discount price option). It arrived with 3 mags, two extra backstraps, and a gunlock, not including the promo items still coming from Springfield Armory's current promotion. The trigger is smooth with a clean break, and the gun is very accurate. The XD(M) strips easily and quickly, and this model is suppressor ready (threaded barrel with thread protector and raised sights). Thanks, Bud's!
