Yes Brian. Both magazines are physically the same size. The 10rd mag is just blocked internally to only hold 10rds.

Yes, that is the standard release for this gun. Two problems that I have read is that they have a problem with the release button sticking which can be polished or sent back to maker. Second problem mentioned is that women sometimes have a hard time reaching or releasing that magazine release on the Ruger SR 9 E...

Great bang for the buck! Pun intended. Great feel in-hand (I have fairly big hands), minimal kick-back. I would recommend this gun to anyone, beginner or expert.

This is my first Ruger product and I must say I have been missing out. This gun is very easy to shoot , very smooth and I put 100 rounds through it straight out of the box and it performed flawlessly. After my experience with the SR9E I decided to put the SR40 on layaway and can't wait to get it out and on the range. Thanks Buds for the excellent service.

This is a well balanced gun.The sights are accurate right out of the box. I've fired 300 rounds so far and haven't had any jamming or ejection trouble. The 9E model is quite a bit less expensive than the SR9 models. Experts say it's because the 9E barrel hasn't been milled smooth round like the SR9. It is the same gun otherwise. I have the 10+1 magazine and had to get a loader ( spring is very strong). I like this Ruger 9E and would recommend it.
