  Yes, it is very similar in height to an Eotech and you can see over the front sight post without issue. It will still be in view at about 1/3 co-witness height but doesn't block the reticle.

  Any Picatinny rail (MIL-STD-1913) would work which is standard on AR's and a lot rifle mounting systems.

• Q: This item came up as a good optic for a short range hunting optic. Has anyone tried it, used it or simply bought it? If so, does it come on n' off as stated? Does it work in bright light. Is it easy to zero in, etc...do yo recommend it for the price?

  I have bought several sightmark products over the years. All but one works every time. The item that stopped working, a green laser bore sighter, i contacted their support and they immediately overnighted a new one. So I feel confident recommending them. That sight in particular is probably one of the better budget options and should work well for close range hunting just about anything.
