Uberti 1873 Rifle Half Octagonal Barrel, .45 Long Colt, Case Hardened Frame, Buttplate and Lever - 18" Barrel, 10+1 Rounds, Walnut Stock

I’m new to lever action rifles. That being said, I was very excited upon receiving this rifle. This rifle is absolutely gorgeous upon opening the box. The wood has a beautiful, rich sheen to it and the metal also has a gorgeous pattern to it. It’s also shown to be a very accurate and reliable shooter. As much as I enjoy modern firearms, this rifle invokes a certain feeling of nostalgia. I couldn’t be more pleased with this rifle.

One beautiful and accurate rifle. I like lever actions, and have been shooting a .44 magnum Browning 1892 for 45 years, but recently I wanted to try a model 1873 in .45 Colt because I have a SAA in that caliber. I shopped around for over a year with all the usual dealer suspects, but Bud is the dealer that came through. he frequently alerted me to other lever actions in different calibers, but that was ok. And then one day I searched around after an alert and found this half octagonal barrel model .45 Colt "In Stock." So I snapped it up. It took a couple weeks to reach my FFL dealer, but it was worth the wait. The color case is very well done, as is the bluing and the walnut nicely grained.
My 250 gr. XTP handloads grouped under 3 inches at 25 yards the first day out. Bottom line is I could not be more happy with this rifle and Bud's availability and service.
