This is a beautiful weapon. Smooth bolt action. I have zero complaints.

Great gun especially for the price, feels great while shooting and is great for hunting or just normal shooting. Also very pleased with shipping I ordered Tuesday night and had it delivered by Friday morning to the upper peninsula of michigan!!!

Bud's was the only place I could even find the HOWA 1500 in the AB Arms chassis. It is an awesome deal for a sweet package, comparable rifles cost $800+! The chassis is beautiful and functions quite well. The butt stock leaves a little to be desired but after I ordered the butt pad for it from AB Arms, it does what I need it to. It has the looks of $1200+ rifles like the Ruger precision for half the price. The included hard case is a bonus. The only thing I don't like it that the barrel isn't threaded so you can easily add a muzzle brake to reduce the donkey kick you get from this bad boy.

Buds by far is leading with the best selection, and best prices around. When i want to spend a decent chunk of change, i dont haphazardly go into a purchase without weeks of research. First off the price on this Howa is phenomenal. The Gen III ModX chassis is $699 through AB Arms and the model 1500 barreled action in .308 or 6.5 creedmoor is right around $500. So your looking at a setup worth $1200 easily for under $700. What's not to like? Ships in a decent hard case and VERY timely, i had mine shipped within 24 hours of placing the order and it arrived in MN within 4 days. As far as this rifle performs, the chassis is exceptionally machined and every bit worth 700 bucks. The Urban Sniper Stock is very adjustable and decently comfortable, definitely get the recoil pad for this stock (28 bucks on amazon) little wobbly, but when you load into it on a bench there is no problems with getting dead steady. You can also do a little modifications on it to make everything solid and tight if your worried about it. Everyone seems to have problems with the grip, and for good reason. Little awkward shape especially for larger hands, but its by far not horrible. Easily changeable for 20 bucks to get whatever suits you. No problems there. The barrel is a smaller contour and more apt for hunting and casual shooting, meaning it will heat up quicker than a bull obviously (and slightly opening groupings up) but saving a ton of weight if your carrying it around the woods. With a Nikon Prostaff 4x12 scope on it comes in at 9.6 pounds. That being said, within 10 rounds of federal 180 grain, cheap lead tipped $20 bucks a box...i was zeroed in 20 minutes and shooting 5 round groups at 100yards within a nickel. Easily Sub MOA. Lastly, the Howa H.A.C.T trigger is very very nice....cant say enough about it. Adjustable, simple and breaks cleaner than any rifle ive had by far. Including gunsmithed worked remington factory triggers set at 2 lbs. All in all, buy this before its gone or someone gets wise and it turns into a 1300 dollar price tag...which it easily deserves....

First off this is a very good deal here. The MOD X chassis goes for $700-$800 by itself. The good. Rifle is very light weight. Chassis is solid. Trigger isn't half bad. Well finished and machined. The bad. While accurate the barreled action used is a very skinny profile barrel. Heats up very quickly and groups open up accordingly. I really don't understand why this profile barrel was used and it really hurts an other wise great rifle. When I say it heats quickly I mean 10 rounds, fired at slow to moderate pace. The grip is awful. Not a huge deal but be aware it is very small. Aside from those complaints it now a solid rifle. But should have a used a much heavier profile barrel.

I absolutely love my AB Arms MOD x gen 3 Howa. So far I've put about 100 rounds of. 308 ammo through it and I can tell you this thing is a really high quality rifle. At this price this rifle is a STEAL!! Take a look at any comparable tactical bolt action and you pay anywhere from $1500 to $2k. One quick note: does not come with the recoil pad for urban sniper stock, you'll have to buy that separately. Run and buy this now before they're gone!

This is a great 308. The gun is very lightweight and has a great build quality. The barrel is not threaded. The howa trigger is super crisp. I'm glad I purchased this over the Remington 700. Only complaint is that the stock is a little flimsy at the cheek rest. Also you have to unscrew it to pull it out further.
