The iconic bullpup-style Steyr AUG has been one of the most recognizable
rifles in the world since its adoption by the Austrian army in 1977 and is
now available for civilian use as the Steyr AUG A3 M1. The short-stroke
gas-piston operation of the AUG runs exceptionally cleaner by nature
because all of the operational exhaust gas vents out of the front of the
rifle. It also features a quick-change barrel with a collapsible forward
grip as well as a two-position cross-bolt safety that locks the trigger. 
his firearm is chambered in 223 Rem/ 5.56 NATO, has a 16\" barrel with a
black metal finish, a tan synthetic stock, and a 3X optic that features a
medium crosshair with a thinner internal crosshair inside the range-finding

This is a great semi-auto rifle and my favorite of the bull-pups. It is time tested in combat having been around since the late 70s. It is built like a tank - especially compared to the FS2000. The 3x optic is excellent. Buy one before the progressives take over - which they eventually will. You won't regret it.

Very well made and a beautiful piece of equipment. This model is convertible to left hand operation and that is the reason I purchased it. Note that the NATO stock version cannot be converted to left hand operation.
