functions great......big heavy bolt assembly w/two recoil springs.......took the plastic sights off asap....junk....put on a red dot and haven't looked back..... two things it needs......after market stock and after market mags that hold more then ten rnds.........these two thing are very limiting for the product..........= major obstacles.....not a hunting rifle w/that caliber so needs to happen....

Finally got my hands on the Taurus 9mm carbine! Couldn't be happier with it. The looks, function, feel, ambidextrous features etc are great. The 1 and only drawback for me is the magazine capacity. But for shooting at the range it's fine. Hardly any felt recoil and easy to get on target with sights provided. Easy to break down and clean. Very pleased with it overall.

Another good buy for the money. Sites were off a bit but after a little adjustment, this is a fine shooting weapon.

For the money this was actually a pretty fun and accurate gun, I got mine on sale and it was surprisingly accurate and a lot of fun to shoot.

I'm a pretty good Taurus fan in my opinion. I've owned several Taurus Pistols and for the majority of their pistols I have never had an issue with quality or performance. With that being said. I'm a big fan of pistol caliber carbines because I prefer to keep only a handful of calibers as far as ammo goes. I was excited to see that Taurus came out with this platform. Over all If you want to have a plinker type weapon for practice and to dress up, by all means this is a fairly cool gun to own. (for $369 why not?). Especially at that price point. You're getting a really good weapon. I definitely wouldn't have bought it for the MSRP. When I first got it, it screamed "cool". Then I took it to the range and there was where I found all kind of faults with this thing. Performance wise, this rifle is pretty accurate. I was shooting holes within holes at 15 yards and 20 yards easily with my red dot sight. Here are its flaws. Ergonomically, this thing is horrible. Safety is way to high from where the average person would be able to select. I'm used to an AR spec and the CT9's safety selector is just too far and too stiff. They could have made the front hand guards slightly thinner in overall diameter. Just too big to get a comfortable grip. As for the mag release, if you're gong to design your rifle based on an AR platform why the hell would you place the mag release in the well in that manner? I kept on pressing on the bolt release to try and drop the mag because it's just my habit to do so. Maybe that's me but if you are used to shooting with an ar you'll hate this rifle. Testing out some FMK mags as soon as it gets here. Tried to use colt mags with no success, at least the Promag one's didn't work to well but it really seem as though it was because the pro mag magazines were bulging after loading ammo. I would not even consider this for home defense, maybe I need more range time and practice to get comfortable but I had just too many issue with getting comfortable with it. I'll keep it as a practice gun and hope more aftermarket accessories come out for it, new folding stock, reliable mags and hand guards. If you can get it for the sale price, it's not a bad gun but for the full retail, go buy a scorpion or another AR.

I finally took my new CTG2 9MM to the range today. It is my new favorite rifle. I had a couple issues at first, than figured out it was me and not the gun (I'm a lefty). I put 80 rounds through it with no problem. The rifle is dead accurate with little or no noticeable recoil. It is relatively light weight and was easy to use once I got accustomed to it. My friend at the range shot it as well and now he wants one. We had 9 different firearms today and this was my favorite long gun.

Couldn't resist buying this when Buds had it for $389 - despite my concerns over buying a Taurus product. Transaction smooth, received rifle quickly in good shape. Finally got to the range today, and after 30 rounds or so, stopped firing - fears realized :( Won't go bang at all - firing pin issues perhaps ? Not sure, will be going through the process of shipping it back to Taurus. Hope it goes well. Side note, I purchased some 30 round after market mags because Taurus still has nothing but 10 round mags - big mistake too. The aftermarket 30 rounders are garbage - don't waste your money. In fact, I'm not sure if it's possible, but I think they may have something to do with the failure! Every time I used the after market mags, the gun would not load or fire properly. I'd put the stock mag back in and all was fine. Went back to the aftermarket and more problems feeding, jamming, etc., then finally gun crapped out all together. Off to Taurus it goes for repair - fingers crossed.

Great 9mm rifle , accurate right out of the box, no problems at all, I thought sights were adequate despite what others had said , 50 yards fist sized 10 shot groups . The controls and function remind me of my HK type rifles,Mags are available on Gun Broker I think I paid $70 for 3, 30 round mags . Buds was first class as always.

Overall I'm pleased with the gun. It shoots straight and is made well for the money. As well the gun came with a case and some accessories. What I don't like about it is the fact you can't get extra magazines for it and the stock is too long. I will be adding an American made stock to help manage the length this winter. On a positive note, Bud's guns were great in this purchase and shipped it to my broker very fast!

Shipping on buds was great. Paid for the gun on thursday. Was at my ffl monday. Fit an finish are nice. The gun shots great right out of the box at 35 yards free hand I had a one inch grouping. For me that's pretty good. Only downside to the gun is the lack of mags on the open market. Will definitely buy from buds again.
