Noveske Gen 3 Stripped Lower Receiver, FDE - FDE/Tan

I chose the FDE color and it arrived blemish / scratch free. Milled out and machined flawlessly. It looks and feels like quality the moment you hold it. This particular lower (Noveske N4 Gen 3) comes with a threaded slot near the pistol grip screw hole. The threaded slot is for a tension screw that comes with the lower. This serves the same purpose as Colt's Accu-Wedge. It is intended to apply pressure to the upper receiver behind the takedown pin to prevent unwanted movement between the receiver halves. It is supposed to help the rifle shoot tight, consistent groups. I don't know if it really helps. Some like it, others think it's over kill. Installing it is optional. I won't install it because you have to remove the pistol grip every time you want to adjust it or remove it. This lower receiver is one of the best on the market. Is it worth the high price tag? I believe so. The only negative is the high price tag. But, I suppose that you get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend this lower receiver to a friend.. only if they weren't able to find a Colt or LMT lower. I'm not implying that Colt and LMT are better, just easier on the wallet and of equal quality.
