When I opened the box and took out the rifle for the first time, the front sight fell off. Ruger will take care of it but what a pain.

I am a fan of the 30 cal. M1 carbine. I "discovered" this Talo version of the Ruger 10-22 while browsing Bud's. It looked great, and I had to have it . I can only say I am very pleased with this purchase. The walnut stock that came on mine was beautiful, but I did clean it up a bit with 000 steel wool, and hand rub a little tung oil on it. I also replaced the rear sight with a Tech Sight made for this rifle, and added the requisite canvas sling and oiler. The front sight it came with was perfect, and I've gotten several compliments on the appearance of the rifle. It shoots like every other 10-22, which is good. An absolute fun rifle to shoot, especially for a admirer of the M1 carbine.

I have always been a fan of the M1 carbine, and this Ruger 10/22 in this configuration looks so much like one. Loads of fun to shoot and way cheaper than shooting .30 carbine ammo. Awesome deal from Buds!
