Winchester Model 70 Featherweight High Grade Maple .308 Winchester - Blue/Black, 20" Barrel, 5+1 Rounds

The featherweight pre-64 type Winchester Model 70 in high grade maple stock arrived in spotless condition. I was impressed with the quality of the high gloss maple and the overall feel of the rifle. I also enjoyed the great trigger pull...crisp and clean. Every shooter has his or her own comfort zone-I found the squeeze not too light nor not too hard. How's that for a not too fancy explanation. I'd guess trigger was set around the 3-4 lb. range. I don't intend on just looking at this little beauty...it's going deer hunting in the fall, and it will be me who misses the buck-not the rifle.

From the description I thought this had a 20" barrel but it has a 22" - not a deal breaker, but not what I expected. This is a absolutely beautiful gun, even my wife was impressed and she is not a "gun nut". I own several Mdl 70 featherweights, and Winchester is definitely back and "game on" with this model variation. If you like wood and metal guns, you should love this one. Also, dealing with Bud's is always a pleasurable experience - their prices and their friendly staff are 1st rate.
