What a fun little gun. Tristar Raptor 20ga is fun reliable and I'm not afraid to abuse it foe the price. Perfect dove gun.

Wanted to get a semi-auto shotgun, but did not want to spend a lot of money on one. Decided to get this Tristar Raptor 20 gauge shotgun from reviews I read about them. The price was right, shipped quickly to my local FFL and am very happy with the shotgun. Nice product, works well, price was right. Bud's always comes through for me!

nice gun. feels good. took out of box. assembled. shot two 3" mags and went straight to low brass Federal target loads. functioned properly. easy to smack clays. swings great. i really like it. well worth the money. fast ship.

A fast powerful shotgun, cycles quickly. For the price a pretty good item, with one drawback, for a gas shotgun, I noticed a LOT of recoil, and I am not a real recoil sensitive person, but subjectively, this kicked harder than my 1100 in 12 gauge. I was however, able to remedy some of it, by filling the rear stock with a caulking material, as it was hollow, and very light. This helped a good bit. A pretty good, inexpensive 20 gauge auto, not for recoil sensitive shooters in my opinion.

GREAT gun. You can’t get any better for the price. Only had 1 hiccup within the first 10 shells and that was with a low brass. If you shoot 1 box of high brass to break in as the manual says, you won’t have an issue. I’ve shot over 300 shells since low and high brass and it functions flawlessly! Would definitely buy Tristar again! My uncle bought Mossberg sa-20 at the same time and his is having a hard time cycling low brass. Fit and finish is similar to Mossberg as well.

Out of the box and first time out this thing shot flawlessly! 100 rounds and not a single hiccup! If you’re in the market for a shotgun, don’t hesitate to purchase this particular one. I like it so much that I’m going to purchase one for my wife!

I was happy to find an affordable 20 gauge semi, but when it arrived I was unable to fit the barrel into the stock/receiver. I had to take it into my gun shop and they were able to get the barrel to seat, but when I got home, the action would not close all the way. Back to the gun shop and they were able to solve that issue, but warned me that if I take the gun apart to clean, I may have the same issues. I have put 50 high brass loads through with two that failed to eject. I like the balance, the variable chokes, and the overall handling, but I am worried that I may have to send it back if it will not assemble properly after cleaning. Based upon other youtube comments, this is not a rare issue. If you have a gunsmith in the family, by all means take a chance on this shotgun.

I bought this gun because of the price and I needed a smaller caliber for pheasant. I took it straight out of the box with no cleaning and let 3, 20 gauge buckshot cycle through it. Perfect, no problem. I then took it to the local sporting club and shot 100 rounds doing 5 stand. Not a hitch. I had no ftf or fte at all. The gun is light and points naturally. It ain't too pretty but it's a winner in my book. Thanks TriStar (3rd gun I have purchased) and Buds!!
